This week, we managed to get to my 100 Youtube subscriber milestone, which feels great! My goal was to get to 100 subs by the end of January and while it took a bit longer to reach, overall, I’m happy with the achievement.
My YouTube history
It feels like I’m going in the right direction with the channel, and I’m finally enjoying making content. You see, it’s taken me many attempts to start video content. I used to vlog as a teenager and lost my original channel after losing interest.
I then decided to try again with a new channel and experiment with what I wanted to do. I did protein unboxing, but it sounded too robotic. I tried fitness content, but I’m nervous around people with a camera. I tried to get out and vlog, but again, I couldn’t help but feel nervous around people.
It wasn’t until my wife and I got our own house where I was able to focus on my video content in my own room. I sometimes feel a little guilty leaving my wife alone in the evening while I stream, but she understands that it could lead to something more.
I’m hoping to reach 1,000 subs and 4,000 watch hours so I can finally join the YouTube partner programme and hopefully make a living off of my content. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll make enough to quit my job and live the dream!
The content I’m making is mostly gaming, but I also do some reaction videos as well as some smart home tech. I’m hoping to also have a little fitness in there as well, but that depends on how my confidence grows. If you’re interested, you can subscribe here.
