The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard Review

Over the weekend, my wife, mother-in-law and I decided to head to the cinema. My wife and I really enjoyed “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”, and we were excited to see the sequel. First off, I want to say, I love Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson as actors, and they work incredibly well as a pair. I barely see Salma Hayek take such a lead role as she has in this movie. And I think she has done a fantastic job. Every part of her character showed passion and feistiness, and she played her role superbly.

We pretty much couldn’t stop laughing throughout the whole film, and I felt like the story, action, humour was all intertwined into a well-played out movie. If you enjoyed the first film, I guarantee you will enjoy this one as well. Ryan Reynolds even let out a few Deadpool quotes, which are great if you can catch them. I don’t want to give anything away, but it is filled with little nuggets hidden around. It’s not just a mindless action/comedy movie, and the ending will make you feel good. I feel like it isn’t too over the top either and has enough shooting, explosions, and humour to keep you wanting more. It will definitely be one of those movies I watch multiple times, and I hope they make it a trilogy. I’d give it a solid 7/10 and recommend the movie to anyone who enjoyed an action, comedy movie.
