# Walking around Newton Abbot (I’ll miss this place)

## Newton Abbot register office

Every place has it’s good and bad points, and Newton Abbot certainly has some pretty bad points. Living below an emergency housing flat has caused a lot of mental health issues. 

But Newton Abbot also has it’s quirky and beautiful buildings. This building is a register office where Tiff and I got married five years ago. We often walk dogs around this area, and we’re always reminiscent of that day.

## Courtney Park

We also have [Courtney Park](https://www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk/things-to-do/courtenay-park-p2017343?ref=michaelbrooks.co.uk) which is another lovely location. Unfortunately, it is surrounded by busy roads. It has a lovely pond with water features. There’s a play area for the kids which is nicely made and looked after. There’s plenty of trees and greenery, and I will miss walking around this park.
