Hey, it's been a while
I'm not really sure where to begin with this one, as it has been a while! If you're reading this, then I hope you're doing well and the year has treated you well.
Starting a new gaming newsletter, TLDR Gaming
I have started a new gaming newsletter. It was inspired by the various TL;DR newsletters I subscribe to. I'm hoping that if this catches on, they will purchase the newsletter from me rather than try to sue. 😅
It is supposed to be a daily, concise email that keeps readers up to date on gaming news and showcases what people are up to in the gamer streaming space. This is in the hopes of spreading awareness of smaller games and creators, who deserve some limelight.
The reason why I said "it's supposed to be daily" is because... well... it was daily for a little while, but I have stalled a little. Hopefully, I'll be picking it back up soon. If you want to subscribe, please head over to this link!
Twitch Recap

Another year means another Twitch recap, and I have been pleasantly blown away. In a world where we're constantly looking at the follower number, we often forget about the small things that also help build our community.
This year, I gained 154 followers, which is incredible. It might not be the fastest growth, by a long shot, but I'm so happy with this. My total stream count is insane to me. I know I stream a lot, like 5-6 days if I don't miss a day due to illness, events or something else, but I didn't realise it would add up to so many streams.
Silksong being in my top 10% is surprising, given that it was probably the most anticipated game of the year. It felt like not many people really tuned in on the Twitch side, but this proves that that's not the case at all.

These are all the cool viewers who have spent time watching me game and yapping about random bs. Of course, there are many more who lurk, but seeing this put together is really cool.
My new merch on Fourthwall
I was contacted by someone at Fourthwall and asked to create a merch store with them. I had something set up with Spring beforehand, but I had issues with them. Fourthwall has some really cool features, such as Twitch alerts and merch trains to encourage purchasing.

I currently don't have much in my store; it's just my silly little logo on some tees and hats. However, I am looking to expand my store with more designs very soon! If you'd like to take a look and potentially purchase some merch, then please head on over here!
I can drive again!
This one probably isn't significant to most of you, but it means so much to me. I have had double-vision since I was a teenager. However, I always thought it was normal that many people go through. It has slowly gotten worse, especially in my older years.
And it wasn't until I told my wife this year that I found out it wasn't normal at all. Since then, I have had many visits to try to understand how it happened, how bad it is and if I can continue to drive. Because I had double vision while driving once, I decided it wasn't worth the risk to carry on, so I paused until we figured out a way to resolve the issue.
Now, I have glasses with a special prism on the right lens. This allows me to focus and pull in the double vision to a single image. I've had many tests over the past year, and the solution seems to be working. My double-vision isn't getting worse and remains stable.
This meant I could contact the DVLA and request a review of my driving. Just yesterday, I received a letter saying they feel I'm safe to drive. This is huge because I haven't been able to do as many things as I've wanted to. It has stalled my life more than I could ever have imagined, but I'm now able to regain control of a part of my life I had lost. My anxiety feels reduced, and my excitement has risen!
