A grueling 5-rounds for time (15-minute) workout

Yesterday, I did a 15-minute grueling workout, and my muscles are still recovering. It consisted of…

  • 50 double-unders
  • 12 pull-ups
  • 12 deadlifts (80/60kg)

As you can see, there is a nice pull/push combination, the workout looks simple, but simple does not equal easy. In fact, it’s usually the exact opposite!

I did well for the first round. I managed to hit 50 unbroken double-unders, 12 unbroken pull-ups and 12 unbroken deadlifts. However, I couldn’t keep it up on the second round. I broke it up, and ended up doing some singles near the end of my double unders. The third round was even worse! I stuck to singles, the pull-ups and deadlifts were even smallers set, but I just managed to finish them off before the timer ran out.

Unfortunately, I didn’t make all five rounds, but I did push it as much as I could. I’m proud of my unbroken sets on the first round, and I would love it if I could keep that up in the future.
